Workout Plan
What Makes a Great Workout Plan for Women
Some of us love it, some of us hate it. Some of us feel a little of both towards it. It’s exercise! Regardless of your preference, the truth is that the human body wants to move. Exercise does many amazing things for you, including:
- improving your mood
- combating chronic illnesses like heart disease, osteoporosis, and even preventing or managing high blood pressure
- managing your weight
- boosting your energy level
- promoting better sleep
- improving your sex life
- helping you keep up with your kids
- setting a good example for your kids
- decreasing stress levels
- making every day activities easier, like running for the bus, walking up stairs or opening a heavy door
Tips for getting started:
- focus on active living – take the stairs often, walk to work, carry your groceries in to the house one bag at a time
- try an introductory fitness class at your local gym or yoga studio; dance classes can be a lot of fun too!
When you’re ready for more:
- start a beginner’s strength routine – check out my videos and combine squats, lunges, push ups and planks for a full body workout
- progress gradually to avoid injury to stay consistent with your workouts.
- your workouts should be challenging.
